かぐや姫、もも太郎、そしてその家族
Kaguya-hime, Momo-taro, and the Family

昔々のことでした。
A long, long time ago, it was once upon a time.

おじいさんは山へ行きました。
おばあさんは川へ行きました。
A grandpa went to the mountain.
A grandma went to the river.

おじいさんは、山の中で光る竹を見つけました。
中には女の子がいました。
かぐや姫と名づけました。
The grandpa found a shiny bamboo in the mountain.
There was a girl inside.
He named her Kaguya-hime.

おばあさんは、川の中で流れる桃を見つけました。
中には男の子がいました。
もも太郎と名づけました。
Grandma found a flowing peach in the river.
There was a boy inside.
She named him Momo-taro.

かぐや姫は、転生したおばあさんでした。
もも太郎は、転生したおじいさんでした。
Kaguya-hime was a reincarnated grandma.
Momo-taro was a reincarnated grandpa.

おじいさんとおばあさんは恋に落ちました。
これが多様性です。
The grandpa and grandma fell in love.
This is diversity.

みんなで一緒に暮らすようになりました。
おじいさんとおばあさんともも太郎とかぐや姫の４人家族です。
They all came to live together.
The family of four consists of Grandpa, Grandma, Momo-taro and Kaguya-hime.

もも太郎は、犬、猿、雉をつれてきました。
かぐや姫は、彼氏を５人もつれてきました。
Momo-taro brought his dog, monkey, and pheasant.
Kaguya-hime brought her five boyfriends.

助けた亀の案内で、
みんなで海に旅行することになりました。
ワールドツアーだ。
With the help of a rescued turtle,
they decide to go on a vacation to the sea together.
The world tour.

一番の思い出は、
乙姫と金太郎によるラテンダンスでした。
The most memorable part of the trip was
the Latin dance performed by Oto-hime and Kin-taro.

とうとう別れの時がやってきました。
神様が尋ねました。
「あなたのは、大きなつづらですか、それとも、小さなつづらですか。」
みんなは答えました。
「どちらも私のではありません。」
神様は感心しました。
神様はプレゼントとしてみんなに
小さなルイ・ヴィトンのバッグと大きなノースフェイスのバッグをくれました。
At last, the time came to say goodbye.
God asked,
“Which is your basket, the big one or the small one?
They answered,
“Neither is ours.”
The god was impressed.
The god gave everyone
a small Louis Vuitton bag and a large North Face bag as gifts.

みんなその後ずっと幸せに暮らしましたとさ。めでたいな、めでたいな。
They all lived happily ever after. Happy, happy and happy.
